The County Fair

The girls and I went to the county fair in Spanish Fork with the Cofers this morning. We had a lot of fun visiting animals and running around to the various booths. We left just in time because the kids started to have a breakdown on our way to the car. Later this evening, James asked what Addie saw at the fair. This was her response: "I sawed no balloons." Apparently the fair lacked in the balloon department.

The kids loved that the "kids" were climbing on their mom.

After the fair, we went to Taylor's house to make a boppy pillow slipcover. Wow, why do we even try to sew together? We were there for about 4 1/2 to 5 hours and all we accomplished sewing-wise was tracing a pattern and figuring out the steps to sew. The rest of our time was spent intervening with fights over toys, wiping bums, nursing babies, etc. It was fun to spend time with Taylor though. I just find it amazing that it's so hard to accomplish anything with children!

And lastly, this is how James spent his day:

In the emergency room, getting stitches. He knocked it against a sharp corner of a wall while on a ladder. Poor James!

I'm glad you're documenting the juggle of work and kids so that when they're grown and frustrated by the same feat, you can show them that what comes around, goes around! By then we can just sit back on our rockers and smile about it...lol.
